Mission LX-1 Description

Despite being the baby of the group, the LX-1 is a formidable speaker.

As with the rest of the LX range, the technology built into the LX-1 far exceeds its price bracket. Endless research and development has been put into this range to ensure Mission can provide true Hi-Fi quality with an accessible price tag.

Rigid Mid/Bass Driver

Rigid Mid/Bass Driver

The mid/ Bass cone is made from an advanced fibre formulation to ensure maximum rigidity. This rigidity enables the cones to fully curve without the need of a hole in the middle of the cone. This allows for the driver/ cone to produce a wider range of frequencies and smoothes crossover with the tweeter.

The rigidity of the cone combined with a powerful ferrite magnet enables ultra-linear performance which provides a transparent, powerful and agile speaker as a whole.

Unique and Advanced Tweeter

Unique and Advanced Tweeter

Firstly the tweeter is positioned below the mid/ bass driver. This increases the distance it takes for the sound to hit your ear in comparison to the mid/ bass. They have done this to rebalance the acoustic distance. This may sound overkill, but the research proves that the more you put into a speaker, the more you get out of it!

The second point to note about the tweeter is that it's made from an exotic concoction of microfibers. Just one extra micro-drop renders the tweeter unusable. The delicate manufacturing methods allows for to the tweeter to be just balanced enough for optimum frequency range and sensitivity.

Solid Cabinet Build

Solid Cabinet Build

As shown in the diagram above, the red indicates where the sound is being resonated from. The blue shows how the cabinet is limiting the amount of cabinet resonation.

This overall gives a less muddy sound and produces less unwanted frequencies to interfere with your listening experience.

Mission LX-1 Summary

Overall this is one cracking speaker. It's not often that you see such a well thought-out speaker for such a small price tag.

This enables almost anyone to enter into the world of high fidelity music.
